Today We discuss about "Different Forms of Precipitation" in Our Environment
Different Forms of Precipitation

Different Forms of Precipitation Are Given Below:

  • Rain
  • Snow
  • Hail
  • Dew
  • Fog
  • Frost

Rain

Rain water evaporates from water bodies, rises high and condense to form clouds clouds. Clouds are like pretty white fluff you see in the sky. They are made up of tiny water drops. They may be of different shapes and sizes. You might have seen clouds moving. Clouds can be near the ground or up high in the sky. Different types of Clouds cause different kind of weather. Sometimes, clouds get dark and scary look when a thunderstorm or tornado is also turn on strike.

Rain

Snow

Snow in colder reason such as mountains, waterfalls from clouds as ice crystals or group of many eyes crystals called snowflakes or snow. Snowflakes are formed in clouds where the temperature is below freezing. The ice crystals are formed around tiny bits of dirt that are carried up into the atmosphere by the wind. as the snow crystals grow, they become heavier and fall down on the earth.

Snow

Hail

When raindrop pass through a very cold region in the atmosphere, they freeze and fall on the earth as hailstones. They look like a small round balls of ice.

Hail

Dew

You might have seen water drops on grass, flowers and leaves on winter morning. At night deep plants part lose heat faster and become colder then the surrounding air. When the air water vapour comes in contact with these cold partS of plants or any other cold surface like metal or glass, it changes into droplets of water called dew.

Dew

Fog

fog is a thick cloud of water droplets form just above the ground in winters. It differs from other clouds only in one things that it touches the surface of the earth. It is formed due to Rapid cooling of moist air into tiny droplets of water near the ground.

Fog is defined as a cloud near the ground which reduces visibility to less than 1 km. So fog is very dangerous for people who drive vehicles it may leads to accident on the roads due to less visibility.

Fog

Frost

Frost when it is extremely cold, the Dew drops and surface water freeze into crystals called Frost.
